What Our Customers Say
Hear from Our Happy Customers
-
Will I still receive an electricity bill if I have solar panels?Yes, but your bill will likely be significantly lower. Solar panels can generate most, if not all, of the electricity your home needs during the day. Any excess power is sent back to the grid, which can offset the cost of the electricity you use when your panels aren't producing power, like at night.
-
Will solar panels damage my roof? When installed correctly, solar panels should not cause any damage to your roof. In fact, they can actually protect the part of the roof they cover by shielding it from the elements. We also take steps to ensure the roof's structure can support the weight of the panels during our site survey.
-
What happens if I move?If you sell your home, you can transfer the solar panel system to the new homeowner. The presence of solar panels can actually increase your home's value. If you move to a new home, we can discuss the possibility of moving your solar system to your new location.
-
How does the installation process work?Once we've completed the site survey and consultation, and you've approved the proposed system, we'll take care of securing the necessary permits. Once those are in place, our installation team will install the system, typically in 1 to 3 days. After installation, we'll inspect the system to ensure it's operating correctly.
-
Will the solar panels work in the winter or on cloudy days?Yes, solar panels will still work in the winter and on cloudy days, although their output may be reduced. Snow can actually help improve performance by reflecting sunlight. Snow accumulation on the panels simply slides off the panels!
-
How much can I save with solar energy? The exact savings depend on many factors, including your energy consumption, the size of your solar system, and the amount of sunlight your location receives. However, many homeowners find that they can significantly reduce their electricity bills with solar energy. We can provide a more detailed estimate during our consultation.
-
How much does a solar panel system cost? The cost of a solar panel system can vary greatly based on the size of your home, your energy usage, and the specific products you choose for your system. We can provide you with a custom quote once we've completed the site survey and consultation. With the Canadian Home Greener initiative program, you receive a $5000 grant and $40,000 interest-free loan from the Government of Canada. Systems usually run between 12,000 - 15,000, however, with the amazing incentives there is zero upfront cost and zero down. Panels typically pay off themselves in 8-10 years.
